• Saturday, 18 April 2009
Thursday’s Absa Premiership top of the log clash between defending champions SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates will now take place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Sunnyside, Tshwane and not Atteridgeville Super Stadium, hosts SuperSport announced on their website sufc.co.za
The date and time for this fixture remains unchanged for Thursday, 23 April at 19h30, live on SuperSport 4.
“While the game was originally scheduled to take place at the Super Stadium in Atteridgeville, the supporters of both teams are requested to take note of this venue change as the club will not be held responsible for arrival of the supporters at an incorrect venue,” said SuperSport.
Super Stadium remains temporarily closed for pitch reseeding purposes as it is a training venue for the upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup starting on Sunday, 14 June 2009.
Loftus which was also temporarily closed will now host this title race fixture.
In another Tshwane vs. Joburg fixture, also on Thursday, Kaizer Chiefs takes on Mamelodi Sundowns at Durban’s Kings Park Rugby Stadium. Kick-off at 19h00.
