Edoardo Villa Museum
About:
Opened on May 31, 1995 on Edoardo Villa's 80th birthday. Permanent displays in the museums are 143 works which consist of heads, plaster of Paris reliefs, figures, tapestry, polystyrene sculptures in steel and charcoal studies. The exhibits are supported by documentary videos.

Jan Smuts House
About:
General Jan Smuts Home until his death in 1950 is on the Doornkloof farm. A modest galvanized iron and wood house, furnished with the original furnishings and many reminders of Smuts. Two of his motorcades are on display. The ashes of Smuts and his wife, Isie, are scattered on the nearby Smuts Koppie.

Kruger House Museum

Melrose House
About:
A fine example of Victorian architecture built in 1886. The furniture, carpets, porcelain and silver of original owner George Heys remain in the house. The Treaty of Vereeniging which ended the Anglo-Boer was signed here on May 31, 1902. There is also a regular monthly antique and crafts fair.

Voortrekker Monument Museum
About:
There are exhibits of weapons, bullet mounds, trek wagons and a giant-scale relief map to commemorate the Great Trek. Next to the museum is an awesome Voortrekker Monument designed by Gerald Moerdijk in 1936 and opened on 16 December 1949. On 16 December there is a gathering to commemorate the 1838 Battle of the Blood River.
